Steelworkers listen to a summary of Sparrows Point's past and future prospects at CCBC's labor studies class.

STEELMAN BACK PAGES

The Community College of Baltimore County Labor Studies Program asked me to speak on Sparrows Point and the Global Economy on March 1, 2006. The talk and a lively discussion with steelworkers took place on the CCBC campus at 7200 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, Md.

The Steel Club of Baltimore invited me to their quarterly dinner on March 2, 2006, at the Boumi Temple, 5050 King Avenue, White Marsh, Md. I spoke on Sparrows Point Over the Years and enjoyed talking to many buyers, sellers and fabricators of steel, mostly small and mid-sized companies, in the Maryland and Pennsylvania area.

I have posted my May 19, 2006, speech to the Great Lakes Turnaround Management Association (TMA), titled "Morally Bankrupt."
